STC Chicago Competition on the Horizon
Autumn is just around the corner, and it's time to start thinking about the Annual Chapter Competition.
Members and non-members alike can enter the competition or volunteer to be a judge. For communicators at any level, the competition is an excellent way to gain feedback, receive recognition, and meet other technical communicators. Judging also provides more experienced communicators the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills, and the experience gained from judging can often be more valuable than the feedback you might receive on a submitted document.
Many Hands Make Small Work
Volunteers are still needed for the Competition Committee. Contact Carla if you're interested in helping with the competition planning.
Dates
The deadline for submissions is October 12, 2007. Complete information, including entry and judging forms, will be posted on the STC Chicago website.

I get occasional e-mails from Top7Business and one of the topics in this week's e-mail was the importance of having a network. Worth the read.
