At-a-Glance Photo Identified

This month's At-a-Glance Photo Contest featured a photo of the lobby of the Rookery Building.

To learn more about the Rookery, how it got its name, and why Frank Lloyd Wright was asked to redesign the lobby in 1905, click here.

Many of you sent in the correct answer this month but, alas, we can only have one winner. Who was the first to respond with the correct answer? Check our website for details.

Overcoming Myths about Creativity

Thanks to Poplabs for sharing. First saw this on Communication Nation. The presentation does a good job of showing and telling. You'll find a little bit of creative spelling here and there, but the graphics are great. Lots of good food for thought. Enjoy!

The Content Wrangler Community

Scott Abel just announced his new social network for content professionals.

This, from his blog:
The Content Wrangler Community is the new social network dedicated to people who value content as a business asset, worthy of being effectively managed. This is the place where technical communicators, medical and science writers, marketing pros, online community managers, document engineers, information architects, localization and translation pros, taxonomists, bloggers, documentation and training managers, and content creators of all types hang out. It’s much more than a blog. It’s a place to join your peers, to share, to collaborate, to contribute, to find the information you need.
Learn more about it here.

Networking Opportunities We Love

Check out the revamped WindyBits.com. It's an excellent resource for tech-savvy Chicagoans interested in learning about local networking opportunities. You'll find the WindyBits RSS feed on our blog. See below.

Thursdays @ STC Chicago will appear on the WindyBits event calendar each month. I posted our March 6th event to the calendar just two days ago, and we've already received positive feedback from people who first learned about our networking event via the feed. Long live RSS!
