If you had
a positive experience at the 2012 STC Summit, it was in huge part due to a
couple of Chicago STC members: Linda
Jansak and Bill Leavitt.
As you
might already have realized, both Linda and Bill put in countless hours before
the conference corresponding with STC headquarters, researching the summit
location, planning the "extracurricular" summit activities,
coordinating committees, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and more. Linda and Bill were able to recruit over 30
STC Chicago volunteers to help with the summit planning and execution.
I know that
I'm very grateful for all the time and effort Linda, Bill, and all the other
volunteers were willing to sacrifice so that the Chicago STC Summit could be a
success. Thanks to all of you!
Look for
more details about the summit efforts in the next issue of Byline.
Thank you so much, Mary!
ReplyDeleteWe're still basking in the afterglow of a hugely successful event! Based on the feedback we've received, we sense that the 2012 Summit was a positive experience all around and the start of something BIG for STC. We're hoping that the positive momentum will continue into the new program year and beyond!
Bill and I are so grateful to be a part of a passionate group of tech comm pros who work hard to collaborate with others to create a positive community in which to work and grow. The 2012 Summit has been a great experience. I'm so pleased to have played a small part in it all.
Cheers!
Linda
Linda and Bill,
ReplyDeleteYou all did a great job and others have noted the positive atmosphere. We experienced the same with the Leadership Program. Summit was energizing and I hope we can carry that momentum into increased volunteerism and revitalizization of STC.
Great work!
Ben Woelk
Outreach Lead
Community Affairs Committee
Thanks, Ben!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to work with the CAC on the Communities Reception -- so many good ideas, so many ways to collaborate! We learned a lot. We're happy to share what we know with others.
